Collect moments not things

This wonderful quote is written outside @lenklodge up here in the Swiss mountains where we just finished our latest combined Yoga/Pilates retreat, and it really resonated .

We hear all the time how important it is to not bother too much about material possessions but seeing it written down made me think again about this in a little more depth.

It’s natural of course to want a nice place to call home where we have a comfortable space to sleep , eat and wash along with our precious things, some of which may be family heirlooms, cherished books and even bits of furniture that may have belonged to dear family members no longer with us so these things of course carry significant meaning. Other possessions have functions that make life a little easier such as cookers and washing machines ! But how many clothes for instance do we really need , does it matter what design our kitchen kettle is providing it does the job ! It’s nice to have nice things, but how many things do we often accumulate that we don’t absolutely need. So places like the wonderful @library.of.things are indeed fantastic resources for things you may need for instance like a carpet cleaning machine , which you’d only need once in a while so why not borrow one then take it back , rather than buying . Or swaps with friends of clothes /books etc. can also be a super way to recycle ♻️

All of which then leave room, perhaps more funds and time for those really important ‘Moments’ , the life experiences that stay with you forever ! Those experiences that make you sometimes stop and smile as you recall them 😊.. which can be as epic as galloping on an Arab stallion along miles of white sandy beach , or simply the joy of looking across the table at a loved one who’s joyfully tucking in to their favourite meal you just prepared and cooked for dinner . These for sure are the most important collectibles and I hope this Autumn season brings many special moments for you and your loved ones 💫

‘Go in and in .

Be the space between two cells, the vast,resounding silence in which spirit dwells.

Be sugar dissolving on the tongue of life.

Dive in and in, as deep as you can dive.

Be infinite,ecstatic truth.

Be love conceived and born in Union .

Be exactly what you seek, the beloved singing Yes, tasting Yes, embracing Yes, until there is only essence;

The all of Everything expressing through you as you .

Go in and in and turn away from nothing that you find’
